Paola health centre services shift to long awaited health hub from Monday

Move is part of gradual opening of Ċensu Moran Centre

Services that were available at the health centre close to Paola Square are being moved to the new Health Hub from Monday.

From September 15, all those who need the health centre or have an appointment must go to the Ċensu Moran Centre, located between Paola and Fgura, next to the old Pace Grasso football club.

The move is part of the gradual opening of the long-awaited health hub, which welcomed its first patients last July, five years after it was first scheduled to start operating.

Speech and language pathology and gynaecology services, physiotherapy, orthopaedics, manometry, podiatry, gastroenterology and respiratory medicine are already available at the health hub.

A portable Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine, which the ministry said had already served over 1,000 patients, is also in use.

Other services, including day surgery, will soon be open to the public, Times of Malta is informed.
