The Ministry of Education yesterday appealed to parents to vote today to elect representatives on the council of the school their children attend.

The councils represent parents and in order for the representation to be as real as possible, parents ought to express their opinion by voting, the ministry said.

Each family is allocated one vote and parents can cast their vote during school hours. There will be an electoral commission in every school to see that the voting process is transparent and efficient, the ministry said.
