Other countries give people with special needs the courtesy of extended parking, such as in UK, where parking on double yellow lines is allowed for three hours, the disabled have unlimited parking where there is a specified time limit and free parking at meters and pay and display car parks.

In Malta it seems that disabled persons are not even given enough time to get out of their car and return to it. A person who has obtained a disabled parking permit because he has trouble getting around will surely need more than 10 minutes.
