Parking in Pietà

Last week I needed to go to St Luke's Hospital to visit a relative. As usual, parking is a big problem in Guardamangia, but I finally managed to find a place.

However, as soon as I parked I was told by a resident that I could only park there for half an hour because of new measures introduced by the local council.

We all know about parking problems there but how could one park and visit a patient in hospital in just half an hour, when it takes 15 minutes from the front gate to reach a ward?

One could say that there is the hospital car park, but this is kept in semi-darkness. Instead of finishing the multi-storey car park to a good standard where cars can be decently parked, we block all other parking areas!
