Parking logic
John F. Galea is very right when he says that parking is not easy especially in the Sliema, St Julians and Paceville areas. However, I totally disagree with him when he says that garage owners should not be allowed to park in front of their own garages.

However, I totally disagree with him when he says that garage owners should not be allowed to park in front of their own garages. I always park my car in front of my garage when I plan to go out again later on during the day. If, as he suggests, I will be fined for doing this it means that I will have to find an alternate parking place. The alternate parking place would have to be inside white lines. In this case the yellow lines in front of my garage will remain empty while my car will be parked in the place of someone who does not have a garage, thus denying the public of yet another very important parking place. Multiply this by the number of garages and you have many fewer places available for parking.
Besides this, my neighbours often park their cars in front of my garage. I do not mind when this happens so long as I know who the car belongs to. It is not the first time that I got home from work and my neighbour moved the car till I garaged mine and then parked in front of my garage once again. The result is that an extra space has been left for others to park in.
