A parliamentary delegation consisting of members of the foreign and European affairs committee left Malta yesterday for a week-long visit to China at the invitation of the foreign affairs committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
The delegation consists of MPs Jason Azzopardi, Clyde Puli, Leo Brincat and Evarist Bartolo.
In Beijing, the MPs will be meeting Qiao Zonghuai, Vice Minister and Leading Member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the foreign affairs committee, the leadership of CPPCC Beijing municipal committee and the leader of the CPPCC national committee.
They will also visit the headquarters of the Lenovo Group, the biggest computer company in China and one of the largest in the world.
The delegation will also visit Xian where they will meet the leadership of the CPPCC Shaanxi provincial committee and visit the Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors.
The MPs have also been invited to visit Guangdong Province.
