Part of newly-restored Fort St Angelo will be opened for visitors this Sunday as preparations are made for the ancient fort to host part of CHOGM.

The fort will be opened as part of Birgufest.

Heritage Malta entrusted with the publicly accessible parts of the Fort in 2007.

Once restoration is completed, the St Angelo Heritage Experience will offer heritage trails, astounding vistas of the Grand Harbour, and an interactive educational experience for the whole family, Heritage Malta said.

Admission will be priced at just €2 and the same ticket will also allow visitors to tour the  Inquisitor’s Palace and the Malta Maritime Museum on the same day. The fort will be open between 9am and 5pm with last admission at 4:30pm.

Apart from Fort St. Angelo, this year’s Birgufest will once again be seeing Heritage Malta opening its door to the Inquisitor’s Palace and the Malta Maritime Museum at the reduced price of €2 for both sites.Besides Sunday, these two sites will also be open on Friday and Saturday from 9am till late.
