Pauleen's Dance and Fitness annual Christmas dance show

Pupils from Pauleen's school performed before a warm audience at the Oracle Hall of the New Dolmen Hotel, Qawra, on December 15, presenting lovely, disciplined routines in various fields of dance and movement.

They included aerobics: a healthy hobby that is quickly picking up again, as it offers good mobility for the working women, after spending long hours crouching over a computer.

The most popular dances were provided by the heart-stealing two- and three-year-old protagonists with their performance of The Moth and the Fly. The primaries and Intros delighted with their version of the ever popular Harry Potter Theme.

The tap numbers, Candyman by Sammy Davis, Jnr and Call the Police by evergreen Nat King Cole were well costumed and timed. The Grade 2, 3 and 4 performed their 'house' modern routines with great rhythm.

The Polish waltz moderato by Camille Saens by two talented dancers and a contemporary ballet by the Seniors, including the Grade 4 and senior lyricals, offered a sospiro to the dance soirée.

The catering staff of the New Dolmen Hotel provided excellent service for a high tea. The raffles, proceeds of which went for charity, and the Crystals cabaret rounded off the Christmas entertainment.

Miss Pauleen reminded patrons that school opens on January 6, when preparations for other important school events will start immediately (for more information phone 2157-1073).
