Public Broadcasting Services has acquired rights to broadcast the World Cup games not just in 2014 but also in 2018 and 2022, Home Affairs Minister Manuel Mallia said.

Speaking during a visit to the PBS Creativity Hub, he said that through this acquisitions, the games will be broadcast to the Maltese public free of charge.

The minister also said that preparations for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which was being held in Malta next year would be starting soon.
