An 83-year-old woman from Żurrieq was grievously injured when hit by a car on Triq Dun Ġużepp Zammit on Thursday morning.

The car - a Toyota IQ - was being driven by a 35-year-old woman from Żurrieq.

Police said the accident was reported at around 8.30am.

Police investigations are ongoing.
