A woman was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Victoria, Gozo, on Sunday.

The police said the accident in Triq Taħt Putirjal took place at 11.45am. The injured woman, a 39-year-old from Żebbuġ, was hit by a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 21-year-old man from Għajnsielem.

The police are investigating.
