Pembroke presentations night

The football nursery at Pembroke Athleta has just concluded another eventful season. Recently, around 430 parents, boys and officials attended a presentations night at the SAS Radisson Baypoint Hotel.

Among the distinguished personalities present was the chairman of the Malta Youth FA, Fr Hilary Tagliaferro, and Minister of the Environment and Infrastructure Francis Zammit Dimech.

Fr Hilary addressed those present and, along with a Farsons representative, presented certificates and trophies to the nursery boys and technical staff members.

As in previous years Pembroke are holding a summer school for boys and girls aged between five and 12-years old. In all, the nursery has 112 youngsters attending training sessions, all under the charge of a head coach and nine other trainers.

The summer football camp, sponsored by Pepsi, will come to a close on Thursday with a reception. Registrations for the new season are being accepted at the club in Pembroke every day after 6.30 p.m.
