The interview with Mr Peppi Azzopardi (The Sunday Times, November 19) made interesting and conflicting reading.
I quote: "Animals are my friends. I don't eat my friends. This is why I've been a vegetarian for the past 25 years"; "I'm in favour of divorce because I'm in favour of marriage".
So Mr Azzopardi does not eat animals because he loves them and they are his friends. Then he is in favour of divorce, which is an easy way of getting out of a problematic marriage, because as he said, he is in favour of marriage! Divorce is a state of marriage killing.
"I think that homosexuals should have the right to marry and to raise children. A homosexual couple is a normal couple that can still promise each other love and respect. I think it's about time that children were educated about different types of families like single-parent families and homosexual couples."
This is a nice way of going about trying to destroy what God created and what Jesus Christ confirmed that "God created them man and woman". In the case of begetting children, homosexual couples are not like normal couples. They need the help of normal heterosexual couples to beget children -unless gay couples are hermaphrodites, that is.
"If I knew who God was then He wouldn't be God any more..."
Here I am sure that Tanja Cilia, the interviewer, was too embarrassed to give us Mr Azzopardi's reply which, I am sure, was: "God, I am God".
