The choir, under the conductor Eric von Ibler will be performing at the Anglican Pro-Cathedral in Valetta on July 5 at 7.30 p.m.

They will execute works by William Byrd, Palestrina, Pachalbel, and the more contemporary Norwegian composer, Bjarne Slogedal. There will also be works for solo organ, played by Vicky Savage, Edinburgh University's resident Organ Scholar.

The choir is also performing a similar programme in Victoria on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

The Edinburgh University Chamber Choir will also perform in the Sala Isouard of the Manoel Theatre on Tuesday at 12.30 p.m.

On July 7, the choir will sing the morning Eucharist in the Anglican Cathedral, including the Mozart Coronation Mass.

The choir was originally formed with eight voices as the Edinburgh University Music Faculty Madrigal Group in 1965 under the directorship of Professor David Kimbell.

It has been funded by the Edinburgh University Alumni Development Trust.
