PFI marks end of its academic year, launches new prospectus
Over 3,000 people took part in more than 100 PFI courses in 2025-6
The Pastoral Formation Institute (PFI) recently held a celebration at the end of a successful academic year and to launch its 2026-27 prospectus. It comprised a Thanksgiving Mass concelebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi attended by students, lecturers and PFI staff, followed by a reception.
Throughout the year, over 3,000 people, including many active members of ecclesial communities, took part in over 100 PFI courses. The short, targeted courses were designed to develop practical competencies to support the participants in their ministry and personal faith formation.
The courses were offered primarily in Maltese, with English-language options available upon request. Courses were delivered through flexible formats, including in-person sessions, hybrid participation combining classroom and online learning via Zoom, and self-paced study through PFI’s virtual learning environment. This approach ensured accessibility and adaptability to participants’ diverse circumstances. Participants also highlighted the practical and enriching nature of the courses.
