Delta Ltd, the Icelandic company which last year purchased the Maltese pharmaceutical manufacturer Pharmamed Ltd, has merged with Pharmaco Ltd, an international company specialising in the development and sale of generic products.

The merged company will have over 5,000 employees, operations in 10 countries and an estimated turnover of over €270 million for this year.

The activities of Delta Ltd have increased approximately 15-fold since 1998.

Combining Delta's scientific knowledge, expertise and experience with the production capacity and expertise of raw material production of Pharmaco, the new organisation will have a production capacity of over 13.5 billion tablets a year.
