An image of the Milky Way galaxy, imaged by Josef Borg on a visit to Western Australia during his doctoral studies. With the image being captured in the Southern hemisphere, parts of the Milky Way seen in this image are not observable from Malta.

In particular, the Small and Large Magellanic Clouds are visible on either side of the galactic plane.
