Piggy bank collection in Gozo

The President's wife, Mary Fenech Adami, was among the personalities supporting the collection of funds in aid of L-Istrina yesterday when the BOV L-Istrina campaign 2004 concentrated its efforts in Gozo.

Piggy banks containing donations from school- children were collected from all schools in Gozo.

The BOV L-Istrina campaign 2004 is a wide ranging initiative that has involved about 65,000 schoolchildren in Malta and Gozo. Eight thousand piggy banks have been distributed in all schools.

Three open trucks with a big piggy bank on each are going round all schools in Malta and Gozo and representatives from schools are emptying the donations collected in the small piggy banks into the specially prepared large piggy banks.
