Bank of Valletta yesterday inaugurated the seventh in a series of retrospective exhibitions in the foyer of its head office in Sliema. The latest exhibition features 49 exhibits by Ray Pitrè.

The exhibition was introduced by its curator, Prof. Kenneth Wain and inaugurated by President Guido de Marco, and Joseph Zahra, BoV chairman.

Addressing the guests during the official opening, Prof Kenneth Wain stated that "the viewer will be struck by the extraordinary creative force, skill, and originality of the artist".

"It is a shame that so many of the works on show in this exhibition have been kept away from the public for so long, hidden in the artist`s studio, mainly by the fear of incomprehension," he said.

The exhibition is open for public viewing from today to June 28.
