The Labour Party said this afternoon that it won 54.6% of the vote in elections held today for administrative committees in seven hamlets.

The PN, however, won a majority in four of the localities, to the PL's three.

The PL said this result was especially satisfying since most of the elections were in PN-leaning localities.

Turnout was 36%.

The PL won a majority at Hal Farrug, Bahrija and Swatar while the PN won in Guardamangia, Tal-Virtu, Bahar ic-Caghaq and Burmarrad.
