James Piscopo has resigned from his post as CEO of the Labour Party with immediate effect. He is expected to take a senior position at Transport Malta.
The PL thanked Mr Piscopo for his 'excellent service' to the party, describing him as instrumental for the party's electoral victory and for making the party the effective and efficient organisation which it is today.
It wished him every success.
Another prominent member of the administration, Kurt Farrugia, left the party soon after the general election to become the government's main spokesman.
The mastermind of the party's electoral campaign, Keith Schembri, became the prime minister's chief of staff.
The party has also seen the departure of a number of its journalists to serve as communications coordinators for various ministers.
