Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi yesterday signed the book of condolences opened at the Honorary Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Marsa following the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

The Acting Leader of the Opposition, Charles Mangion, also signed the book of condolences.

Ms Bhutto was killed at the end of a political rally in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, on December 27.
