PN's AI manifesto tool draws 5,000 conversations in 24 hours

The Nationalist Party said on Wednesday that its AI tool, which enables people to ask questions about the electoral manifesto, generated over 5,000 conversations in its first 24 hours.
The tool, available at https://pn.org.mt/ai was launched during the meeting of the party's general council on Monday.
The response, the PN said, confirmed "a strong public appetite for a more direct, accessible and personalised form of political engagement."
"Early analysis shows that users are not simply browsing proposals, but asking how PN’s programme affects their own lives: transport, work incentives, tax reform, housing, family, pensions, business, education and cost of living. This is an important political signal. People want politics that explains, listens and responds to their real situation," the PN said.
This, it added, was a practical example of 'Nifs Ġdid': a new approach to politics that brought the electoral programme closer to people, used technology responsibly, and turned a political programme from a static document into a live conversation with the country.
Times of Malta reported on Tuesday that the PN clarified its renewable energy targets, after its chatbot flagged “conflicting targets” within the manifesto.
In its section on clean energy, the manifesto said Malta under a PN government would “reach the target of 30% renewable energy by 2030,” linking this to its plan to slash energy bills.
But in a separate section on innovation, just a few pages prior, the party says it is “aiming for 50% renewable energy by 2030”. However, PN later clarified that the 30% figure is correct.
