PN approves five new candidates

Among them, George Vital Zammit is the author of the PN's electoral programme

The PN has approved another five candidates for the general election.

All five, approved by the party's executive committee at the PN's club in Birkirkara, are contesting the general election with the PN for the first time:

  • Joseph Aquilina on the tenth district
  • David Bonello on the tenth and twelfth
  • Miriana Calleja Testaferrata de Noto on the third and fifth districts
  • Antonello Cuschieri on the first district
  • George Vital Zammit on the sixth and twelfth districts

Aquilina, 54, is a local councillor in Sliema and works in the business sector.

Bonello, a 39-year-old lawyer, has been active within the PN since his youth. Among other roles, he worked as a journalist with NET Television and also served as a PN local councillor in Naxxar.

Calleja Testaferrata de Noto, 31, is also a lawyer. She was a candidate on behalf of the PN in the European Parliament election of June 2024.

Cuschieri is a former PN local councillor in Ħamrun. He is a 42-year-old lawyer.

Vital Zammit is a 46-year-old lecturer at the University of Malta and is the author of the PN's electoral programme.
