The European Masters of Poker first series, held in Malta, has drawn to a close with competitors Krzysztof Grubka and Joakim Sörensen reached a deal that sees Grubka taking home a trophy and €95,000, and Sörensen following in close second at €88,000. Third prize was taken by Tero Aho at €43,650.

It has proved particularly popular with non-professional poker players wanting to participate in big live tournaments with affordable buy-ins, in exciting locations," commented Teresa Nousiainen, Tournament Director.
"After four exhilarating stops in Estonia, Bulgaria, Prague and Spain, we are thrilled to have concluded our event in style within the magnificent surroundings of the Casino di Venezia Malta."
