Police hunt for masked thieves who robbed Gżira betting shop

Two men robbed the Rue D'Argens store at 10.30pm on Friday night, police say

Police are on the lookout for two men who robbed a Gżira betting shop and made a quick getaway on Friday night.

The men entered the Rue D’Argens shop at around 10.30pm while wearing masks and demanded money from its employee, a 35-year-old Sliema woman. They stole an undisclosed amount of cash but nobody was injured in the robbery.

A police investigation is now under way, the police said in a statement on Saturday afternoon.
