Police Inspector Elton Taliana has instituted libel proceedings against the GWU newspaper It-Torca over a report carried last Sunday.

The report was entitled Żagħżugħ li spiċċa l-ħabs intortament: Spettur kien jaf bl-iżball u m'għamel xejn.

Inspector Taliana last week revealed in court how a man was mistakenly arraigned and accused of a Birkirkara hold-up because of miscommunication within the police force. He prosecuted the person who owed up to the crime.
