Reports of loud music and suspicious activity in a pub in St Sebastian Street, Qormi on Sunday led to the arrest of two men suspected to be in possession of drugs.

The police said they went to the pub in response to the reports and spotted a 28-year-old man from Marsascala throwing away a packet of white powder.

In a search of the pub they seized two more packets containing what they suspect to be drugs and other related material.

The police also searched the car of a 19-year-old from Qormi, where they found a substance they think is a drug. A search in a nearby garage turned up other drug-related material.
