Going on the beat involves a lot of footwork for the police, but this community officer took that to an all-new level while on patrol in Valletta, displaying football skills that surprised onlookers.

The Malta police, which uploaded the video, said PC 2001 Janice Xuereb forms part of Malta's Women National Football Team as a goalkeeper.

She said afterwards that her community policing work helped her "build trust over time", which could help reduce crime.
