Police stopped to assist two men inside a car with an oil leak in Qormi yesterday and ended up seizing 15 sachets of cocaine.

In a statement, police said that officers were patrolling the Qormi area early yesterday morning when they noticed the car had an oil leak.

The two people inside were behaving suspiciously so the officers decided to search the vehicle. That was when they found 15 sachets containing cocaine.

Police arrested one of the men, a 22-year-old from Siġġiewi, who is expected to be charged in the coming days.
