As the interest in the 2007 Go Mobile Malta Song For Europe shifts into a faster gear, ESCMALTA.com, Malta's Eurovision website, will be holding the first-ever pre-festival party.

During the party, which will be held at Bay Street on the January 28 at 6 p.m., Eurovision Song Festival fans will be able to meet the 16 festival participants and listen to their entry.

Besides the participants, guests will include J. Anvil, who this year will be one of the hosts of the festival, and the group SHE2s.

Right before the party starts, entertainment will be provided by Tristan B together with Ron (1998 San Remo winner) and Mihai Traistariu, who represented Romania in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with his hitTornerò.

Preparations for the Go Mobile Malta Song for Europe Festival are in full swing and the organisers are promising a state-of-the-art show at the Malta Fairs & Convention Centre, in Ta' Qali.

This year's stage will feature a section of glass flooring, which, together with the lighting, is meant to enhance the performances on both nights.

The semi-final will take place on February 1, with six songs being short-listed to compete in the final on February 3.
