Preparations for the 17th edition of the Air Malta International Travel Exhibition (Amitex) are in full swing.
This year, the fair will again be held at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre (MFCC) grounds at Ta’ Qali between April 22 and 25.
Air Malta said in a statement that over the years Amitex has enjoyed increasing popularity amongst the local travelling public. The variety of offers and opportunities presented under one roof by the various exhibitors made Amitex one of the most popular fairs in and a not-to-be-missed travel event.
Both Flyaway Tours and the Flypass frequent-flyer scheme, will keep up the tradition of introducing new services and special offers, Air Malta promised.
As customary every year, a complete animation programme has been set up to animate the fair.
During the fair Air Malta will be giving out 25 air tickets each day. Certain conditions may apply.
This fair this year will again include the participation of Munich Airport and the Munich Tourism Authority. They will be joined by the small town of Altötting, which will be represented for the first time.
Altötting, is a small town set amidst the beautiful landscape of the Alpine foothills between Munich, Passau and Salzburg. His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, who was born in the nearby town of Marktl, has forged close ties with this town and has designated it as, “The heart of Bavaria and one of the hearts of Europe”.
