President Eddie Fenech Adami yesterday left Malta for his last official visit to Australia on an invitation of Governor-General Quentin Bryce who was in Malta in November.

The President, who is accompanied by Mrs Fenech Adami and Foreign Minister Tonio Borg, arrives in Australia tomorrow.

He will visit Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane.

In Canberra, Dr Fenech Adami will hold talks with Ms Bryce, the Prime Minister, the Opposition Leader and the Governor of New South Wales.

Dr Borg is scheduled to meet the Australian Foreign Minister and also the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship.

The President returns on March 1. In the meantime, George Hyzler has been sworn in as Acting President.
