President George Abela yesterday paid a visit to Żabbar on the invitation of the local council. He met young St Patrick's football players, attended Mass at the parish church and enjoyed coffee and pastizzi on the church parvis. He also visited various band clubs while Mrs Abela called on the Dominican and Ursuline sisters. Dr Abela said the people of Żabbar had a "big and generous heart".
