In his letter (June 28) Peter Paul Portelli carps and complains that the recent ordination of priests at St John's Co-Cathedral, in Valletta was not featured in newspapers or on television.

For Mr Portelli's information, The Times did regale us with a picture or two of some young men before their ordination. Why should a supposedly secular newspaper like The Times carry write-ups on the ordination of priests? Has The Times become the English edition of the Lehen is-Sewwa?

If The Times continues with its heavy dose of priests and religion, it will lose the next generation of newspaper readers.

As for Mr Portelli, if he wants to read about the ordination of priests, I suggest he subscribes to Lehen is-Sewwa!
