The Xghajra primary school has set up a students' school council as part of a Comenius project entitled Building a Healthy School Environment for Positive Learning.
The pupils will be asked to suggest how to improve their school.
The school is now in the second year of the EU-funded Comenius project. Italy hosted the school for a second meeting last November and together with the other two participating countries, England and Spain, Xghajra primary is working on various projects to make learning more pleasant for its pupils.
The school's pupils are now working on three different projects: Traditional Songs - Years 1 and 2; Traditional Feasts - Years 3 and 4, and Traditional Food - Years 5 and 6.
These projects, when ready, will be exchanged with those of the other participating countries. The aim is to help Xghajra's students get to know more about the traditions of other countries.
The Comenius project is also giving Xghajra's students an opportunity to write to foreign students as pen-friends.
