Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi has expressed solidarity and sorrow with the Norwegian government and people on behalf of the government and the Maltese nation.

Norway is currently mourning the death of at least 92 people who fell victim of a bombing and shooting spree yesterday.

Dr Gonzi said these attacks were the work of those who unfortunately believed in the language of violence.

It was shameful that there were people ready to commit such cowardly attacks which left victims and families in a lot of sorry. Such acts showed that democracy had to be worked for everyday.

The Prime Minister expressed his, the government's and the Maltese people condolences.

Condolences have also been expressed by the Labour Party and its youth section.
