Gozo marked Pro-Life Day last Sunday with an activity at the Sacred Heart Seminary in Victoria.

Pro-Life Day is celebrated in many countries in Europe on the first Sunday of February, with a view to promoting the value of life.

The programme, which had at its theme 'Woman and the Human Life', included talks by various speakers, singing, dancing and drama.

The activity was organised by Dar Ġużeppa Debono which, for the past 25 years, has helped single mothers and strengthened attitudes against abortion and in favour of life.

Present for the occasion were Kate Gonzi, Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech and Maria Attard, director of Dar Ġużeppa Debono.

A pro-life art exhibition by Denis Mompalao, Vince Caruana, Justin Falzon, Paul Stellini and Mario Abela is currently on show at the Victoria council.
