Drunken Angel Entertainment, made up of Dennis Mahoney, Jean Pierre Magro and Kenneth Scicluna, have managed to secure EU funding for a documentary entitled Destination Terror.

The production company was awarded €15,000 to co-fund the documentary from the EU's Media Programme supporting the audiovisual sector.

A total of 272 projects were submitted in answer to the EU's call for proposals, out of which 132 were selected.

The funding follows the company's success abroad with the wartime documentary Against All Odds -The Quest For Malta, which was recently broadcast on the History Channel.

This is the third project by Drunken Angel that has received funds from the EU.

The Development Scheme of the Media Programme provides funding to promote the development of production projects for the European and international markets submitted by independent production companies in the categories of drama, creative documentaries, animations and multimedia concepts.

Other schemes include training, distribution, promotion and support for festivals.
