Progress had been registered on a number of the projects visited by Opposition Leader Alfred Sant yesterday, Resources Minister Francis Zammit Dimech said yesterday.
During a press conference organised to rebut the negative impression given by Dr Sant, Dr Zammit Dimech said much had been done.
On Cottonera, he outlined the different achievements, such as the demolition of the so-called Chinese Buildings and the bridge, the restoration of Scamps Palace as the casinó, and the marina which would be ready this year.
The sea passenger terminal project was also at an advanced stage, with work underway on the restoration of surrounding buildings, the supply of equipment and excavation of the lagoon.
Construction at Tigné was advanced and pontoons had been laid at Manoel Island to extend its capacity.
He also said that Fort Ricasoli and Fort St Angelo were being restored.
