A group of 60 young people from various localities have, over the past months, been exploring their personal and social histories through creative means as part of a community arts project.
The young people hail from Birzebbuga, Cospicua, Senglea, Valletta and Vittoriosa.
The project - Bokkaporti: Stejjer Dwar Hafna Xorti (Hatchways: Stories About Many Subjects) - is being run by the cultural association Inizjamed within the Arcipelaghi network in collaboration with Unesco and St James Cavalier. Klabb Kotba Maltin is supporting the initiative.
The project urges young people to open up. It aims at creating a stimulating, encouraging and comfortable environment for the participants to find confidence to look into themselves, discover hidden stories and let them out.
The young people taking part came from local youth groups including Youth Catholic Action Birzebbuga, St Patrick's in Sliema and the Third World Group in Valletta.
