Works on the second phase of the Xemxija promenade are to be completed by the end of June, a Resources and Infrastructure Ministry spokesman said yesterday.

Works Division employees are rebuilding the promenade on both sides of the road. Besides the installation of rainwater culverts the project entails building new pavements, railings and a parking area accessible from Pwales Street.

The spokesman said the road would also be realigned to facilitate parking on both sides of the street, which would allow for a greater number of parking spaces.
