Public health physicians are seeking to have a stronger voice with the setting up of an executive committee to represent their views.

The committee forms part of the Malta Association of Public Health Physicians. It will focus on strengthening the association's role of advocacy in issues relevant to local public health.

The members are: Charmaine Gauci, president; Nadine Delicata, vice-president; Tanya Melillo, secretary; Mariella Borg Buontempo, treasurer; and Miriam Vella, Miriam Gatt, Taygeta Firman, Christine Baluci, Tony Gatt and Antonella Sammut.

The association is a full member of the EU Public Health Association and an associate member of the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region.
