Public property leased to Birkirkara music society to provide free music lessons

The lease is for 15 years

A public property in Birkirkara has been leased to the St Helena Musical Society in Birkirkara to be used to provide free music lessons to students.

In a statement Tuesday, the culture ministry said the property managed by the Lands Authority at 12, Triq San Konstantin, had been leased to the society for 15 years.

The ministry said the agreement meant the society would have a “dedicated space where it can continue to serve the community, especially young people, through free music training”.

Culture Minister Owen Bonnici called the deal “an investment in the youth and in the cultural future of our country”.
