After the success of last year's double bill of events, February 12 and 13 will see the Pure Carnival Gozo Weekender event return to Victoria.
Enter a world of shifting sands, imposing architecture, and a thousand and one sonic stories that will keep you enthralled, alive and kicking throughout the Carnival weekend in Gozo together with the greatest dance empire that has ever ruled our country - Pure Promotions.
Kicking off at the Ku Club on February 12 will be Ruby & Friends #66: Arabia, where the strong romantic visuals of the exotic Middle East meet the hypnotic and euphoric sonic tapestries of the West via a four-hour VJ/DJ set by the Sultan of the Maltese underground electronic music scene himself - DJ Ruby. Ira Losco will also be performing a special megamix consisting of all her collaborations with DJ Ruby.
The next day will bring on another instalment of the legendary Pure Classics night at the D-Code club, which is also based in Victoria, featuring a five-hour set of classic dance anthems spanning the last two decades with DJ Ruby once again behind the decks with a special guest appearance from the cyberborg himself - FX Robot!
