What does the Education Commission do?
The Education Commission of the University Students Council (KSU) meets regularly to discuss student complaints. The commission has in place an efficient system that enables students to file academic complaints and provides the University with an adequate system to consider and remedy such complaints.
The commission ensures students are more actively represented in all academic areas. It promotes its education policy by conducting campaigns, issuing reports, holding debates and other activities.
The commission is composed of the KSU education commissioner Karl Agius, KSU president Carl Grech, and student representatives on the University Council, Senate, faculties, centres, institutes and Junior College board.
During 2009-10, the commission has continued to strengthen the relationship and communication between the student council and the University Ombudsman. It also arranged for the ombudsman to visit the University student council office to discuss cases involving students who cannot make it to the ombudsman's office in Valletta.
Students with questions or suggestions on this or any other issues may e-mail KSU vice-president Matthew Paris on vicepresident@ksu.org.mt.
