More qualified proofreaders of Maltese
The next online course starts in February, with applications closing on Friday
Forty-two proofreaders were recently awarded the Certificate of Proofreading in Maltese from the University of Malta and the official warrant from the National Council for the Maltese Language.
The recipients include educators, journalists, communication coordinators of public entities and local councils, EU translators and officers from the private sector.
In all 772 proofreaders have successfully completed this university course since it started in 2006.
The one-year online course (MQF 5) is organised by the Department of Maltese, within the Faculty of Arts, with the support of the Maltese Language Council, and starts in February. All evening lessons are carried out online twice a week. Exams are held in class.
