The tranquillity of Fort St Angelo in Vittoriosa will be broken by the music of legendary group Queen this weekend.

The inimitable voice of Queen's lead singer, Freddie Mercury, will echo across the calm surface of Grand Harbour as the musical We Will Rock You, written by Ben Elton, will be re-enacted at the magnificent fort of the Knights of St John.

The musical will be put up by the external feast committee of St Lawrence and the Palmizi youth section of Vittoriosa, with the collaboration of Fra John Edward Critien, knight resident at Fort St Angelo.

The debut of the musical was held on May 14 last year at the Dominion Theatre at the West End in London.

The musical, with the participation of over 100 actors, will kick off at 9 p.m. and will be directed by Alan Cassar and Andy Catania.

The actors will perform in playback to the original sound track.

Tickets at Lm1.75 for adults and Lm1.25 for children are available on tel. 2180 7535 and 2180 7537. Tickets may also be bought at the door.

The Friday concert is by invitation only.
