Fresh from his art exhibition earlier this year at St James Cavalier in Valletta, artist Charles Cassar has been invited by the Maltese Embassy in Washington to represent Malta in the European artists' exhibition.

European artists will be meeting their American counterparts during various receptions given in their honour by the corresponding embassies in Washington. Mr Cassar's exhibition is to be held at the Italian Embassy on the opening night reception on June 4.

Mr Cassar will be taking one painting with him, entitled "Vaguely Tarxien".

He is also displaying his work at the Riggs Bank where he is expected to meet bank clients and consular guests at a reception in his honour.

Next September the artist will also be holding another exhibition of his recent works in Calabria, Italy.
