In the first semi-final, played last weekend, Rabat Depiro got the better of Young Stars with a 4-2 scoreline.

Rabat went immediately into attack and forged ahead in the second minute through James Azzopardi. But Young Stars hit back and drew level when Mark Camilleri beat Azzopardi with a reverse hit.

In the 15th minute Shawn Falzon again put Rabat ahead when he produced a bombshell from the top of the D.

In the second half, Rabat once again pressed forward and on 38 minutes a good move between Aquilina and Micallef ended with Charlo Antonelli firing the ball home off the crossbar.

Five minutes later a free hit for Rabat inside the 22m-area was quickly taken by Kevin Micallef who set up James Azzopardi to easily score goal no.4.

After Azzopardi's goal Rabat relaxed but they could have added a fifth from a penalty stroke which saw Bugeja hit the upright.

Young Stars reduced the arrears when Mark Camilleri scored his second goal from a short corner action.

In the second semi-final, Qormi beat White Hart by the odd goal in three.

Here again, Qormi went straight on the attack but the first chance of the match fell to Luke Borg Costanzi whose effort missed the target by inches.

Qormi went ahead on six minutes when Steve Tanti forced his way through on the right flank and served Jonathan Borg with an exquisite pass for the latter to slap hit the ball past Galea in goal.

Qormi won a short corner on 41 minutes and from it they forged further ahead with another goal from Borg.

From then on there was practically one team on the field with White Hart constructing one attack after another.

On one occasion, they were somewhat unlucky when Anthony Roberts hit the bar after some good work by Sandro Bartolo.

White Hart kept up the pressure and on 50 minutes they were awarded a penalty stroke which Borg Costanzi converted - 2-1.

Eight minutes later it had to be Ramon Chircop, the Qormi goalkeeper, to prevent Borg Costanzi from equalising with a timely intervention.

The final, between Rabat and Qormi, will be played on Saturday at 6 p.m.
